Jennifer Rene Psaki
Jennifer Rene Psaki was an American political advisor who served as the 34th White House press Secretary between 2021 and 2022. As a member in the Democratic Party, she was previously the White House deputy presses secretary (2009-2011); White House deputy director of communications (2009-2011); White House deputy director(2009-2011); spokesperson for the United States Department of State (2013)-2015; and White House communications director (2015)-2017. Psaki was a political contributor to CNN between 2017-2020. Psaki started her career in 2001, as an influential political contributor to CNN. She worked on the re-election campaigns for Tom Harkin (Iowa Democrats) for the U.S. Senate, and Tom Vilsack (Iowa Governor). Psaki was later appointed the deputy press secretary of John Kerry's presidential campaign. Psaki was the communications director for Joseph Crowley, a U.S. Representative, and the regional press secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee from 2005 to 2006. Psaki was the press secretary for President Obama's 2012 reelection campaigns. [20] Psaki was named spokesperson for the United States Department of State in February 2013. She was hired at the Department of State to fill the White House Press Secretary Jay Carney's position.[21] But, Josh Earnest took his spot on May 30, 2014. In the year 2015, she was recalled to the White House as communications director and was there until the end of the Obama administration.
